At Mountain Bearing Construction, we are a custom home builder and residential contractor focused on homes and select commercial projects. We serve Asheville, North Carolina and surrounding areas, and have recently started operations in Central Vermont to serve new clients.
Our work is guided by long-term thinking, creating spaces that feel right for living and working while standing the test of time. Every project is built on trust and clear communication. We collaborate with our clients, our team and our subcontractors to make sure that expectations are understood and relationships are strong. Construction is personal, and each home or building is a space that matters.
Meet Our Team
As founder of Mountain Bearing Construction, Paul brings a thoughtful approach to custom building shaped by 10 years in the field and a background in both craftsmanship and business. With experience in sustainable design, structural repair and design-build work, he is drawn to projects that require creativity and care. Inspired by the natural world, Paul believes the building process should feel as solid and lasting as the finished space itself. He now splits his time between Western North Carolina and Central Vermont, where he recently relocated with his family.

Grey Bullock
Grey keeps day-to-day operations running smoothly by keeping moving parts aligned so projects stay steady and organized. With five years of construction experience on the ground and behind the scenes, he offers a practical perspective to operations and logistics management. Before his time in construction, Grey worked in trail management and wilderness therapy, which shaped his steady communication style and ability to guide a team toward a well-oiled machine. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, climbing, games and spending time with his dog, Korra.

Seamus Potter
Seamus works across project management, estimating and sales, where he combines hands-on construction experience with a people-first approach. His background includes logistics leadership at SUWS of the Carolinas and property management experience with Acadia Healthcare. Seamus values honesty, direct communication and collaboration, and he enjoys helping clients navigate projects with clarity from the start. Away from work, he spends time biking, cooking, gardening, reading and exploring the outdoors with his cats nearby.

CARPENTER + TILE SPECIALIST + ASSISTANT PROECT MANAGER
Isaac Brown
Isaac applies more than seven years of renovation and remodeling experience to Mountain Bearing Construction, with a specialty in tile work and a strong foundation across framing, trim, painting, plumbing and electrical. He takes pride in precision and believes quality craftsmanship should hold up years after a project is complete. Outside the job site, Isaac enjoys camping, hiking, woodworking and welding, pursuits that reflect his hands-on nature and attention to detail.
